Stuff-a-Thon

The 19th Annual Stuff-a-thon will kick off on October 14. This is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year, and is critical to our program. During the Stuff-a-thon, rowers personalize letters soliciting donations and pledges from friends and family. All BHS rowers must attend, and bring at least 10 names and addresses to personalize letters. Enjoy an afternoon of letter-writing and chilling with your teammates! Coaches and volunteers will be there to help with the letter-writing.

Location: the Stuff-a-Thon will be in the Club Room at 20 Chapel Street in Brookline. Metered parking is available on Chapel Street, and free 2-hour parking can be found on Colchester Street. At Reception, let them know you are attending an event in the Club Room (contact is Oleg Schapov).

Head of the Quinobequin

The "Head of the Q" is a 3000-meter head race on the Charles River, strictly for junior singles. It runs from the Eliot Bridge upstream to the North Beacon Street Bridge.

Fun fact for today's regatta: Quinobequin is the name of what we call the Charles river, in ... what language? Well, that language would be Massachusett.

Location: select varsity athletes report to the boathouse. Good race viewing all along the river, especially at the North Beacon Street Bridge.
